We are the local branch of the NZ Red Cross, a legally incorporated society, officially recognised by the NZ Government as a voluntary relief organisation. Our role in the community is to:
- promote Red Cross’ fundamental principles
- promote activities
- maintain an effective presence
- respond to emergencies in the community
- raise funds for Red Cross’ work.
Membership (which is mainly about fundraising for local and international need) is open to all and new members/volunteers are welcome.
